I appreciate the harmony of the resurrection accounts, it is something I haven't given as much thought to. It makes total sense the way you have harmonized these accounts. I wanted to comment on the question you asked about the importance of the Cross in Christ's message. I would say that Christ's message can only be understood in light of the cross and the ressurection. Christ is always touted as a good moral teacher by people who probably haven't read His teaching. His teaching and claims make Him sound like a lunatic, if he hadn't risen from the dead. He wasn't claiming to be a good moral teacher he was claiming, I am God. The only reason his teaching survives and is proclaimed worldwide is becuase of his life, death, and ressurection, which constitute the crux of His message.
